Illegal sale of narcotic drugs, arrested

On the morning of 12-03-2023, Mr Vasanth PSI Doddapet Police Station received information about two persons standing near Kini Lay Out near KSRTC Depot, Shimoga Nagar under the police station limits and selling narcotic ganja to the public, Mr Balaraj, DYSP. Shimoga – Under the command of Sub Division A Shri Vasanth PSI Doddpet police station and police station personnel raided the place and arrested persons who were selling ganja namely Mohammad Arees, 22 years, Bharamappa Nagar, Shimoga Town and Syed Aftab, 19 years, Clarke Town, Shimoga Town. A case under Gunne No. 0087/2023 Section 8(c) 20(b) (ii) A, NDPS Act has been registered and an investigation has been conducted against the said accused after seizing dry cannabis weighing 580 grams with an estimated value of Rs.38,000/- from the accused.
