Shivamogga: The executive and administrative assistant of the Shimoga factory and boilers department have fallen into Lokayukta’s trap under bribery charges.

The Lokayukta Department has arrested Vithal Naik, executive and administrative assistant of Shimoga Factory and Boilers Department, Assistant Director’s Office, who took bribes to cancel the license of Patel Tech Engineering Pvt.

When Rakesh Patel visited the office and asked him to give a certificate about the cancellation of his factory license, Vitthalanayka, the supervisor of the office, demanded money and received Rs.15,000/-.

However, a license cancellation certificate is not issued. When I inquired about the certificate over the phone, he said that he would issue the certificate after paying the money we mentioned. Even though financially at a loss again Rs. 30,000/- as bribe money was demanded and because Rakesh Patel did not want to pay the bribe money, the case was registered on the complaint given by coming to the Lokayukta office on date: 03-03-2023.

Accordingly, while Vithal Nayaka was receiving Rs 30,000/- as bribe money, Chitradurga Karnataka Lokayukta Office Superintendent of Police N. Under the guidance of Vasudevarama and Umesh Eswara Nayka, Vice President of Police, Karnataka Lokayukta, Shimoga, a case was registered and the accused was arrested.

And H. Radhakrishna, Inspector of Police, K.L., Shimoga has conducted the investigation.
